The M.A. Peace and Conflict Studies Programme at Makerere University Kampala is an interdisciplinary program which aims to give graduates the skills to pursue peace building and methods of peaceful solutions to domestic, national, regional, and international conflicts. One important component of the program is the outreach into the field to other peace actors.

Since the beginning of the MA Peace and Conflict Studies programme in 2003 there has been a strong practical approach to combine the academic teaching with an outreach component to create a strong link to the community on the ground.
